The wait for Porsche’s most radical sports car ever, the 918 Spyder, is nearing its end with the Stuttgart based automaker having completed the development of the pre-production prototypes, the first photos of which were released today.

First seen as a concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the 918 Spyder is a plug-in hybrid supercar that will enter production at the end of September 2013. Porsche said that the first customer deliveries will take place “before 2013 is out”.

If you’ve bought a Porsche Panamera and just now realized it’s as ugly as the humpback whale that it is, we found a new tuning kit that will make it look like a whale that listens to hip-hop and is into chrome. Really, turning a large executive car into one of these low-rider cruisers is a bit blasphemous.

JE Design has come up with a new front bumper that houses huge air intakes. LED light were integrated as well, while round the back quad exhausts are fitted into a new diffused-tail bumper.

The next iteration of the Porsche Boxster may not have made its world premiere in Detroit but the first official photos of the car were dropped onto the internet just as we were getting ready to write up our final post on the show.

This is the third generation of the Boxster since the birth of the series in 1996. The latest version of the two-seater model introduces an all-new lightweight body, upgraded flat-six engines with direct petrol injection, a completely revised chassis and in true Porsche fashion, evolutionary styling.

2012 Porsche Panamera GTS comes with a lot of improvements: better efficiency, more power, nice sound and lowered air suspension as standard.

The new Panamera GTS is powered by a 4.8 liter naturally-aspirated V8 with 430PS (316 kW) at 6700RPM and 520Nm (385 lb-ft) at 3500RPM. This is an improvement of 30PS and 20Nm over the previous version. The power is put on the road by 7-speed Porsche PDK gearbox through AWD system. 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 288 km/h (179 mph). Furthermore, the engine returns 25.9 mpg with CO2 emissions of 256 g/km. Really amazing figures for such heavy car – 1920kg – kerbweight.

OK, so a manufacturer releases pricing information for a car that was developed on the Nurburgring, sprints to 60 mph (96 km/h) in under 4 seconds and hits a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h). You’d naturally expect it to cost at least $100,000 in America.

But that’s not the case with the most powerful Camaro ever built, the ZL1, which has now officially been priced at a MSRP of $54,995 (€40,300) for the manual version, or $56,180 for the slightly slower automatic. If this doesn’t convince you to Join the Muscle Car Army, nothing will!
