Renault’s new £24,000 Mégane Renaultsport R26.R has beaten the £110,000 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, £90,000 Maserati GranTurismo S and £85,000 Aston Martin V8 Vantage in EVO magazine’s Car of The Year test.EVO’s Car of the Year 2008 was conducted in two distinct groups, with the winner from the first group taking part in the final supercar group test.   The Mégane Renaultsport R26.R first managed to beat 10 new performance cars before punching well above its (reduced) weight, mixing it with six of the world’s latest supercars in EVO’s ultimate test for 2008’s newcomers. ROUSH® Performance continues their homage to the legendary World War II fighter plane with the 2009 P-51B™ Mustang, the second aviation-themed pony car from the Michigan-based manufacturer.   This car, based on the 2009 Ford Mustang chassis, will be limited to just 51 numbered production vehicles in the 2009 model year. Nissan might have been successful in keeping the all-new 2009 370Z under cover until the release of the first official photos earlier this week, but its in-house performance division NISMO (abbreviated from Nissan Motorsport) didn’t manage to do the same. From our experience, this leaked photo of a NISMO accessorized 370Z (called Fairlady Z in Japan) looks like it’s the real deal. The sports coupe pictured here features a full bodykit that includes a rear wing, side sills, a rear diffuser housing a new set of tailpipes and larger alloy wheels. Understandably, we’re not aware of the mechanical upgrades that will be offered by NISMO but expect to see several goodies for the V6 engine, suspension, brakes and the interior.
