After yesterday’s leak of the first pictures of the new Peugeot 208, the French company went ahead and officially revealed its brand-new supermini that will replace the current 207 series.
The A9 project, which is the new 208’s internal designation, is very important for Peugeot as it will compete in the highly competitive European B-segment rivaling the likes of the Ford Fiesta and Toyota Yaris.
Finally, Peugeot tried to fix their huge mistake – 4007 model. The new 2012 Peugeot 4008 boasts distinctive, stylish appearance and 4×4 SUV features – 2×4, 4×4, and LOCK.
The vehicle looks rather better than the outgoing model. The new Peugeot SUV has floating grille and a feline design of the lamp units with visual signature: at the front, a line of LED daylight running lamps that complement the headlamps and three red claws sculpted rear lamps.
It’s been a long time since Peugeot had a serious contender in the hotly contested sub-premium segment. The 407 was unloved and lacking in style; a “307 with a boot” purchased exclusively by the brand faithful. It was a bit bland and outdated compared to its major European competitor: the Mk 4 Ford Mondeo.
With the 508, Peugeot hopes to change all that. A carbon copy of the Peugeot 5 Concept that premiered at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the 2011 Peugeot 508 puts the verve – that oh-so-important French flair – back into Peugeot’s line-up.

Only a week after we brought you spy shots of Peugeot’s high-riding 508 SW, and the French carmaker released the first official photos of the production model that will carry the RXH moniker, ahead of its world premiere at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September of 2011.
The new nameplate isn’t the only thing that differentiates Peugeot’s new crossover from the rest of the brand’s Outdoor models as the 508 RXH comes with all-wheel drive, courtesy of the Hybrid4 diesel-electric hybrid drivetrain.
