New Hyundai Azera Starts from $32,000, a $6,605 Premium Over its Predecessor

2012 Hyundai Azera 1

More often than not, building better vehicles comes at a price but Hyundai’s clientele may not be very happy about the company’s pricing strategy with the brand-new 2012 Azera that starts at $32,000 (€24,500), not including an $875 delivery and handling fee that pushes the price to $32,875.

Granted, the redesigned Azera costs $4,725 less than the 2012 Lexus ES350 ($36,725), but it’s also $6,605 more expensive than its predecessor and only $2,400 cheaper than Hyundai’s more upscale and powerful Genesis V6 sedan, which features a 333HP 3.3-liter engine linked to an 8-speed auto.

Auto Review: Hyundai i40

Hyundai i40 1

While Apple is known for its iGadgets, it seems like the South Korean auto manufacturer has championed the i-series cars. Next in the line is i40, another inexpensive, superior designed car from Hyundai. Hyundai unveiled the wagon and sedan models of the car early this year at the Geneva and Barcelona Motor Show, respectively. i40 has been designed at its German Rüsselsheim design studio. The car has been designed keeping European buyers in mind and would compete in the D-segment. Hyundai wants to achieve a double-digit growth rate despite economic slowdown.

What does it offer?

i40 offers impressive design and demonstrates Hyundai’s fluidic sculpture design. It has been given a five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP, which makes it one of the safest cars in the D-segment. This points to the fact that not only is it brilliant in looks but also reliable and safe to drive.

2012 Hyundai i30

2012 Hyundai i30 1

2012 Hyundai i30 will be exhibited at the IAA Frankfurt. Hyundai expects the new-generation i30 to build on the remarkable success of the original model – the company’s first car to be launched with the ‘i’ prefix, introducing a new nomenclature and heralding a new era for Hyundai in Europe.

“The new-generation i30 is recognisable thanks to the Hyundai family face with its signature hexagonal-shaped front grille and the jewel-like design of the headlamps, together with distinctive daytime running lights. These lights present an angular shape within a more softly-edged recess, adding a strong personality to the vehicle, as well as a sense of refinement and luxury.”, said Thomas Bürkle, Chief Designer at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Centre.
