It seems like the world is getting ’serious’ about utilizing renewable energy to power transportation in the future. While the technology exists, the challenge is to make it affordable. This time Volkswagen, Europe’s biggest automaker, has announced investments of about $1.44 billion in renewable energies. It will be selling this power to its electric cars customers.

First look

Meanwhile, Volkswagen is all set to unveil its one-seater EV car concept in Frankfurt Motor Show later this year. It will be an experimental car that would join Volkswagen’s line of future car concepts. Volkswagen wants to become leader in electric cars segment with its electronic vehicles contributing 3 percent of its annual sales by the end of 2018. Unfortunately, there are no official pictures or specifications released yet by the company, however, the model will be displayed on September 8 in Berlin.

From the inception of the firm in the days of Ettore Bugatti, to becoming a modern unit headed by the VW Group, Bugatti has never really lost its eccentricity or its uniqueness. And the Bugatti Galibier is as highly anticipated a model as the firm has ever launched. The new Bugatti flagship is called the Galibier for the time being, although rumors suggest that it might be released in the fall of 2012 under the moniker ‘Royale’. Bugatti President and VEO Wolfgang Durheimer has commented on the revised timeline of the scheduled release saying that the most powerful four-door luxury sedan ever to have hit the scene will most definitely be out in the showrooms same time next year.

German Automakers, Audi released their latest good looking and stylish luxury sedan-A 7, 3.0 TFSI Quattro, a very comfortable car that lacks the forced sportiness and harshness like many other Audi models.

What does it offer?

The body of the A7 is build from aluminum and steel. The new lighting system present in the vehicle can handle all the weather conditions. It also modifies lighting based on ambient brightness, city, or highway travel. Under the bumper, it has radar sensors for adaptive cruise control. It comes with Google local search and Google earth.
