New Peugeot 508 RXH with AWD Diesel-Electric Hybrid Drivetrain Takes on Audi’s A4 Allroad Quattro

Only a week after we brought you spy shots of Peugeot’s high-riding 508 SW, and the French carmaker released the first official photos of the production model that will carry the RXH moniker, ahead of its world premiere at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September of 2011.

The new nameplate isn’t the only thing that differentiates Peugeot’s new crossover from the rest of the brand’s Outdoor models as the 508 RXH comes with all-wheel drive, courtesy of the Hybrid4 diesel-electric hybrid drivetrain.

Kicherer now offers a performance package for the latest CLS 500 Coupe, which is powered by a 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 engine with 408PS (300 kW) and 600Nm (444 lb-ft). 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.5 seconds and the top speed is limited at 250 km/h (155 mph).

However, the tuning company installed a software update and a sports exhaust system to increase the power of the CLS with 62PS and 90Nm. There are no performance data, but a tenth or two of a second will be cut off.

2012 Range Rover Sport Benefits from 8-Speed Auto and More Powerful Diesel

After the introduction of the updated Discovery 4, Land Rover released details on its 2012 Range Rover Sport that features similar mechanical changes and equipment upgrades for the new model year.

As with the Discover 4, the Range Rover Sport’s more powerful 3.0-liter SDV6 diesel engine receives a 10HP boost lifting output from 245-horses to 256HP and is now mated to Land Rover’s new ZF 8HP70, 8-speed automatic gearbox. As a result, CO2 emissions have been reduced from 243g/km to 230g/km while combined fuel economy has improved from 30.7mpg to 32.1mpg UK. Read the rest of this entry »

All-New 2012 Toyota Camry and Camry Hybrid Coming this Fall

Toyota officially placed the arrival of the all-new 2012 Camry sedan and its hybrid sibling (2010/2011 Camry pictured above) in the U.S. market for this fall during the company’s annual national dealer meeting which took place on Wednesday in Las Vegas.

The Japanese company said that the next generation of its best-selling model will move away from the conservative designs of the past.

Bugatti has unveiled Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L’Or Blanc (”White Gold”) in Berlin. This is a unique model featuring the finest porcelain on its body, as well as in its cabin.

“At first, it seems to be an unusual idea to use porcelain in a car, especially in the world’s fastest convertible,” comments Dr. Stefan Brungs, Director of Sales and Marketing at Bugatti Automobiles.
